BY-LAWS
Registration is open to Glenshire residents who are 5 to 18 years of age. The fee is due in full at the time of registration. Registration is for one year, April to April.
Glenshire Swim Club meetings will be held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the
Community
Building . Any notice otherwise will be posted on the bulletin boards at the entrances to the subdivision. Parents of Glenshire Swim Team members are expected to attend these meetings.
Budget and policy decisions will be made at the monthly meetings, voted on by the majority of those present. Ties will be broken by the Board of Officers.
A nominating committee will be formed in May; nominations will be posted in June, and the election of officers will be held in July. Installation of officers will be in August. A quorum is simple majority.
There will be no limitation set on the team membership. Sign-up for existing members will be on the month prior to general registration. New members may, at the Coach’s and officers discretion, be required to qualify. If membership warrants, a “Green” team will be selected at the Coach’s discretion. Further, if the team size warrants such action, a “White” team must be formed with their own assistant coach, who will work under the direction of the Head Coach. Competitive swimming will be provided for said “White” team. No refund will be made after two weeks, unless the member is cut for failure to qualify.
All swim team members will participate in the fund raising activities that the club sponsors.
Amendments to these By-Laws may only be proposed in May, presented in June, and voted on in July.
